TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works also known as Tsunami Mpeg Encoder is a software that encodes video files to VCD and SVCD compliant Mpeg video formats. Its developers are Pegasys Inc. and the software was launched for the first time in May 2015. Its latest version is 6.0.5 that is compatible only with 64 bit Windows operating system. For 32 bit architectural systems you can install its previous versions. This software is available in English, Japanese and German languages.
The installation of TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works can be done after installing its setup file. On running setup file the required files will be extracted for installation. After that the installation setup wizard will open up.
For further processing you need to agree to the license agreement terms. There are two setup files named Complete and Custom. You need to select the type of setup for installation. In custom mode you can select the customized settings while complete mode installs all the program features. On clicking the install button, installation process will start. After completion click the finish button to exit setup.
The trial version of this software is available for free of cost for 30 days. Every time you launch the trial version, the license validation window will appear. You need to Renew License every time you open the trial version. The serial number will be generated automatically and you can start using the software by clicking the Start Trial button.
Features and Options
On running the software a small window will appear through which you can open a new project in normal mode or timeline mode, go to the tools, preferences, about and help options. The users can also use the trial version for plug-ins or can buy the commercial version as well. For encoding of video files a new project must be started. After starting new project clips need to be added for processing. The clip can be added from files, DVD, Blu-ray, TS / PGMX file Media Center Recorder File and from Assets.
After selecting the clip there are various functions that can be performed on it. At the top there are some options that include clip properties, preview settings, panel settings, magnifier and histogram. The users can also switch to the next or previous frames, set the start frame and can cut selections. Multiple frames can be added and run as a single video. The framed video can be played, forwarded, paused and repeated.
